Julie, it was great to meet you and Francisco last night at my 15 nanoseconds of fame at the Lincoln Center.
Just want to correct the main photo credit – it’s by Cheryl Lead (now Gledhill) from downunder, who left her copy of the book with the Cuban photographer on the cover. Naturally, she’s a Bike Friday owner.
Thanks Julie, for such a flattering exposé. Now the pressure’s really on to write another tome )

The follow up: I met Lynette tonight at a bike documentary screening in NYC, where she’s working indefinitely in her position as a Bike Friday “evangelist.” She’s every bit as funny and driven and energetic as she seems in this interview.

Excellent interview! What an inspiring story…I love that part about the guy flying from NY to find her in the mountains and get her to finish the book…that sounds so…Hollywood! But it’s real life, so I guess that stuff really does happen.

I totally agree with everything she says…the failed hippy, the combo travel/work, how fossil fueled transport is NOT evil…like everything in life, the answer isn’t in the extremes, but somewhere in the middle.
